Pilates & Yoga Studios
The Pilates and Yoga Studios industry has benefited from the burgeoning number of individuals that participate in yoga in 2017. Pilates participation rates have remained somewhat stagnant over the past five years. This trend, however, has not offset robust yoga participation rates, which have bolstered industry revenue during the period. However, the industry has grappled with mounting external competition. For example, to attract budget-conscious consumers, many health and fitness clubs (which may also offer yoga and Pilates classes) have slashed their membership rates and offered monthly memberships. Over the five years to 2022, industry revenue is forecast to grow. Many yoga studios will emphasize the health merits of yoga to attract the burgeoning elderly population.
