Farm, Lawn & Garden Equipment Wholesaling in the US
Over the past five years revenue for the Farm, Lawn and Garden Equipment Wholesaling industry has declined, largely due to the troubles plaguing the agricultural sector, the largest market for industry products. The agricultural sector has been extremely volatile over the five years to 2017; after experiencing all-time high crop prices early in the period, prices sharply declined, reducing farm income and inhibiting farmers from purchasing equipment sold by industry wholesalers. However, farm income is forecast to increase yet remain low over the next five years, as crop prices are projected to rise once more. The tempered recovery of the still-volatile agricultural sector, in addition to increased demand from nonagricultural markets, is expected to return industry revenue to growth over the five years to 2022.
This industry includes companies that primarily purchase specialized machinery, equipment and related parts used in agricultural and consumer segment activities (e.g. farm, lawn and garden uses). This equipment is then sold to downstream markets, namely farms and other wholesalers that make the goods available to end consumers.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
