North American Residential Multichannel Video Tracker: Second Quarter 2015

In the second quarter of 2015, North American cable and satellite continued to serve an estimated 􂀀% of residential video subscribers; although, IPTV and OTT services are gaining. Revenues are growing for all providers.

In the US, OTT video providers Netflix and Hulu added a total of 􂀀 million subscribers in 2Q 2015; while IPTV providers gained 􂀀subscribers (a record second quarter low since 2007). Meanwhile, cable and satellite providers lost 􂀀 and 􂀀 subscribers, respectively.

In Canada, IPTV subscriber numbers increased by 􂀀 in 2Q 2015; while satellite subscribers declined by 􂀀; and cable lost 􂀀subscribers, the greatest quarterly net loss since 2007.
