In 2014, the North American market for residential video (TV) services showed slight revenue gains ($􂀀 million) and slight subscriber losses (􂀀).

In the US, over-the-top (OTT) IPTV providers and satellite providers added both subscribers and revenue in 2014. Cable providers lost subscribers but gained revenues through higher prices.

In Canada, IPTV providers also gained subscribers and revenues in 2014. Satellite revenues were up and cable revenues were down, with both types of providers losing subscribers.
