The ATA was established in 1993 as a non-profit
organization and headquartered in Washington,
DC. Members may be individuals, healthcare
institutions, companies, and other organizations
with an interest in promoting the deployment
of telemedicine throughout the world. ATA is
governed by a Board of Directors, which is elected
by the association’s membership.
The ATA vision: “Telemedicine will be fully integrated into healthcare systems to improve
quality, access, equity, and affordability of healthcare throughout the world.”
About this report
The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) held its annual meeting and tradeshow in Los Angeles this past May. The meeting is designed to bring together a mix of medical practitioners and the telehealth service and technology providers who are poised to transform the promise of technology into a next generation of medical services. Frost & Sullivan was in attendance, taking note of trends and vendor developments as well as led a session on the state of the telehealth market.
