Prefabricated Housing: United States
This report forecasts to 2024 US prefabricated housing demand in units and nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand in unit and value terms is segmented by type in terms of: manufactured housing, modular (system-built) housing, precut housing, and panelized housing.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand in unit terms is provided in annual series from 2009 to 2019; shipments in unit terms and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2009, 2014, and 2019.
Excluded from the scope of the report are: manufactured and modular housing units used as commercial structures and homes made from shipping containers, and prefabricated components used in the construction of a site-built home (such as a roof truss or a structural insulated panel) and the additional work required at the jobsite to complete the residence.
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
