Overview of the Brazilian food sector

The Brazilian food sector has reached an estimated revenue of over US$ 187 billion in 2016, growing at a high CAGR of 13.6% in Reais since 2007 and representing 10.5% of the national GDP. The industry employs 1.6 million people in Brazil and the meat segment represents 28% of sales.
