RTD tea saw a much better performance in off-trade current value terms than was the case in off-trade volume terms. This was a consequence of a visible rise in average unit price that occurred in 2017. The unit price increase came as a result of more expensive brands such as Nestea increasing their value share. Nestea was the leading brand by a high margin in 2017 and it benefited from very strong marketing support and also excellent distribution.
