Ukrainian hotels were negatively affected by the economic crisis and military situation in Eastern Ukraine in 2014. In 2015, the situation improved. Hotels registered current retail value growth of 28% to reach UAH4.5 billion in 2015. The average occupancy of hotels in 2015 was at the same level as in 2014 at 38%. At the same time, the high level of local currency devaluation in 2015 forced hotels to raise prices significantly. On the one hand, prices for foreign tourists became more affordable.
