Internet Retailing in Brazil
Black Friday and Cyber Monday were increasingly important in driving growth in internet retailing over the review period. While the Black Friday discount event has occurred each year in November in Brazil since 2009, it initially struggled to appeal, partly due to media reports of misleading discount claims and partly due to retailers offering only a limited range of discounted products.
