Total beer volume sales continued to drop in Finland in 2019, and the landscape faced maturity. Sales were impacted by the recent passing of a law that permitted drinks above ABV level of 5.5% to be sold outside of the outlet Alko. This means that stronger RTDs and beer can now be sold through a broader range of retailing channels. This had an especially noticeable effect on RTDs; however, beer did not manage to perform as well.
