Alcoholic Drinks Packaging in Russia
In 2018, the share of other rigid containers – represented by PET kegs – continued to grow in beer in total filled volume terms, mostly driven by the increasing sales of domestic lager and dark beer in draught beer. Domestic lager’s other rigid containers benefited from the 1.5-litre PET bottle ban that was introduced in 2017. As for dark beer, the growing popularity of craft beer continued to drive the development of this type of packaging.
