IJPDLM 45th Anniversary Issue

This e-book celebrates the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management (IJPDLM) ’s 45th anniversary. IJPDLM is one of the oldest logistics and SCM journals that consistently ranks near the top in surveys of logistics and SCM journals by educators and practitioners. The last five years have been particularly exciting ones for IJPDLM. Perhaps the most notable occurrence was the journal’s admission into the hallowed Web of Science database. The initial Journal Citation Reports metrics announced in July 2011 heralded an upswing in submissions that have exceeded 300 manuscripts for each of the last five years. Moreover, availability of Web of Science and other scholarly metrics facilitates an objective evaluation of IJPDLM’s progress towards the journal’s mission of providing its constituents with timeliness, inclusiveness and impact. In celebration of 45 years of IJPDLM, this e-book proudly presents the following invited papers:

IJPDLM’S 45th anniversary: a retrospective bibliometric analysis and future directions by A. Ellinger and K Chapman

Integrating the Supply Chain… 25 years on by G. Stevens and M. Johnson

The extended enterprise: a decade later by R. Spekman and E. W. Davis

Future of supply chain planning: closing the gaps between practice and promise by P. Jonsson and J. Holmström

The 3D printing order: variability, supercenters and supply chain reconfigurations by A. Sasson and J.C. Johnson.
