Advances in Manufacturing Operations

Impelled by the impact of the International Conference on Manufacturing Research 2012 (ICMR 2012) conference held at Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom, the idea for this e-book on “Advances in Manufacturing Operations” emerged. The guest editors had observed closely some of the core themes of the conference and in conversation with the former Editor-in-Chief, Professor David Bennett, the authors decided to organise a special issue with the Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management.

6 articles were found to be suitable for inclusion in the e-book. These screened articles were accepted for publication after some revisions. The articles contain some holistic applied research in the field of manufacturing operations management. Eclectic operations management approaches have been reported in these articles.
