Triptorelin is an agonist analogue of the natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It was first registered in France in 1986, is currently marketed in more than 80 countries and is leading market in many territories globally. Triptorelin is a peptide formulation for injection which was developed mainly for the treatment of advanced metastatic prostate cancer. Cyproterone and Spironolactone acetate are other drugs used by many trans people to suppress sex hormones.
