Infant formulae are the specialized products which are developed for the proper dietary management of the infants and babies in the age group of 0-3 years. Rice protein based infant formula is specially used by the infants who are allergic to cow’s milk or soy. The formulations of the approved infant formula are not altered by the regulatory agencies without the prior approval for processing, modification and/or addition of ingredients.
Rice protein is referred to as a low quality protein as compared to the cow’s milk protein. The rice protein based infant formulas are lactose free and are not recommended for babies as the best choice with lactose intolerance.
