A-Share Listed Medical Services Companies - Profiles and Financial Data
In China, medical services refer to services provided by medical institutions for patients, including health examination, diagnosis, treatment, recovery, disease prevention and healthcare, delivery, birth planning and other services. Chinese medical institutions include hospitals, township hospitals, community health centers (stations), clinics (health clinic and infirmary), village clinics, disease prevention and control centers and health inspection authorities.
By the end of 2015, there had been 990,248 health and medical institutions, including 27,215 hospitals. Total medical service expenses increased from CNY 1,647.2 billion to CNY 3,250.3 billion at CAGR of 18.5% from 2011 to 2015.
According to CRI analysis, the Chinese society is aging and the medical industry is supported by the government. With the loosening of the family planning policy, it is expected that the population growth will accelerate in the coming years. In addition, worsened aging problem and residents' increasing income have fueled Chinese people's demand for medical services. China's medical industry has a bright future.
In this report, CRI analyzes 11 medical service enterprises listed in A-share market in China.
The report is composed of two parts: the first part is enterprise profiles and the second part is the operation status of these enterprises in the recent decade (presently 2006 to 2016, we will update it to the latest as time goes by).
The operation status is demonstrated from the following perspectives: (1) financial indexes, such as earnings per share, book value per share (BPS), sales per share, net cash flow per share, return on net worth and debt to asset ratio; (2) indexes on the income statement, such as revenue, operating profit, net profit and EBIT; (3) indexes on the income statement, such as revenue, operating profit, net profit and EBIT; (4) indexes on the balance sheet, such as liquid asset, fixed asset, current liability, non-current liability, capital reserve and shareholders' equity.
