A-Share Listed Energy Storage Equipment and Other Power Supply Equipment Companies - Profiles and Financial Data
Energy storage is the capture of energy in the original form or another form. Energy stored in a medium is then released in certain forms specified by its application.
In China, the accumulated installed capacity of energy storage from 2000 to 2015 was 23.5GW, 23.4GW of which was pumped-storage hydropower. In 2015, the accumulated installed capacity of chemical energy storage (excluding pumped-storage hydropower, compressed air and heat storage) was 105.5MW, mainly including Lithium-ion battery, lead-acid battery, flow battery and supercapacitors, which accounted for 66%, 15%, 13% and 6%, respectively. The accumulated capacity of photovoltaic power generation was 43.18GW, increasing by 15.13GW from the year before. This included 37.12GW of power generated from photovoltaic power plants and 6.06GW from distributed plants, generating a total of 39.2 billion kWh. By the end of 2015, the installed capacity of electrochemistry energy storage had reached 106MW, accounting for 12% of the total capacity in the world, which is a substantial increase from 4% in 2012.
According to CRI analysis, the policies of the Chinese government were supportive of the development of energy storage equipment. In 2016, National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration jointly published Action Plan for Energy Technology and Innovation (2016-2030), in which energy storage was listed as a priority. National Energy Administration issued Notice on the Pilot Program of Promoting Electricity Storage to be Included in the Electricity Supplementary (Market) Mechanism in Northeast China, North China and Northwest China, clearly granting energy storage an independent position in the electricity market. National Energy Administration also issued Administrative Measures on National Electricity Demonstration Projects to promote the development of such projects. It is projected that the energy storage equipment industry will grow rapidly from 2017 to 2021.
In this report, CRI analyzes 22 energy storage equipment and other power supply equipment manufacturers listed in A-share market in China.
The report is composed of two parts: the first part is enterprise profiles and the second part is the operation status of these enterprises in the recent decade (presently 2006 to 2016, we will update it to the latest as time goes by).
The operation status is demonstrated from the following perspectives: (1)financial indexes, such as earnings per share, book value per share (BPS), sales per share, net cash flow per share, return on net worth and debt to asset ratio; (2) indexes on the income statement, such as revenue, operating profit, net profit and EBIT; (3) indexes on the income statement, such as revenue, operating profit, net profit and EBIT; (4) indexes on the balance sheet, such as liquid asset, fixed asset, current liability, non-current liability, capital reserve and shareholders' equity.
