Wallcoverings

Wallcoverings

U.S, wallcoverings sales experienced sharp increases in 2015 and sales are estimated to increase at relatively strong rates during 2016. These gains reflect higher selling prices as buyers increase their preference for higher-end wallcoverings. The sales increase is a result of rising domestic demand while foreign sales decline. Domestic sales have been led by gains in commercial markets as nonresidential building construction strengthens. Despite these gains, wallcoverings sales remain less than half of 1997 levels. Manufacturing, however, has consolidated into larger, more profitable competitors.

These and other industry trends are uncovered in this up-to-date First Look on Wallcoverings. This First Look also provides data on product line sales, price trends, exports and imports, factors driving demand, plant operating ratios and profitability, and the competitive environment. Data is compiled and analyzed from 1997 to the current year and the Executive Summary provides a five year forecast.
