Zambia Tourism Q4 2018
Zambia will see steady expansion in its tourism industry over the coming years, but rapid growth will remain out of reachfor the country as infrastructure weaknesses undermine the sector. The country will remain reliant on its neighbours for tourismarrivals and receipts will remain low. While Zambia boasts abundant natural attractions, such as safari parks and Victoria Falls, whichwill continue to entice visitors to the country, a lack of transport connections will limit the industry until new infrastructure projectsand an expansion of flight routes come online over the longer term. The hotel market will also remain dominated by the low-costand independent sector, with only a slow expansion of luxury international brands. However, the government has identified theimportance of tourism for Zambia's economy and we expect this focus to drive investment over the coming years.
