Vietnam Agribusiness Report Q2 2018
Vietnam's agribusiness growth model will change over the coming years, as farmers begin to face land and labourconstraints and as end markets become more demanding. Rice production will decline, coffee and rubber growth will decelerate, and the shift to corn (feed) production will be slow. However, the medium-term prospects for the agro-processing and the livestocksector are good as domestic consumers diversify their diets and as the sector takes advantage of recently concluded FTAs. Thecountry's potential will only be fulfilled if it steps up its competitiveness and improves product quality and supply chain efficiency.
