Uzbekistan Oil & Gas Report Q2 2018

BMI View:

We forecast Uzbekistan to remain a major producer of natural gas through to 2027, but its crude oil output will continueto decline due to maturing fields. In fact, we expect the country to become a net importer of crude oil already in 2021, following theexpected opening of a new refining facility in the Jizzakh region, eastern Uzbekistan. The new facility will alleviate fuel shortages inthe country and will turn Uzbekistan into a small exporter of refined fuels.
