United States Banking & Financial Services Q1 2018
BMI View: The banking and financial services industry in the United States is diverse, complex and highly competitive. The country is home to some of the world's largest banking groups, many of which have expanded into a broad range of global markets, giving them access to new growth opportunities. Stability in the domestic market has improved dramatically since the financial crisis, though the change in administration and President Trump's anti-regulatory rhetoric has created some uncertainty. This is also the case in the large insurance market where the health insurance segment in particular is contending with an opaque policy environment and potential legislative changes.
