Uganda's tourism industry holds great potential, however this will only be partially harnessed in the coming years, asinvestments only slowly feed through to increased arrivals and receipts. The country remains a small player in the Sub-SaharanAfrican tourism market and remains reliant on neighbours for the majority of its arrivals. The hotel market remains underdeveloped,with only a small number of global chains present, and independent players dominant. The air transport sector is alsounderdeveloped, though there are plans for both public- and private-owned airlines to be launched soon, increasing ease of travelto the country. Uganda's rich natural attractions, including safari parks and Lake Victoria, provide a strong basis for future growth intourism, and the government's focus on the industry will remain a key positive driver of growth.
