Uganda Tourism Report Q3 2018
Uganda's tourism industry holds great potential, however this will only be partially harnessed in the coming years, asinvestments only slowly feed through to increased arrivals and receipts. The country remains a small player in the Sub-SaharanAfrican tourism market and remains reliant on neighbours for the majority of its arrivals. The hotel market remains underdeveloped, with only a small number of global chains present, and independent players dominant. The air transport sector is alsounderdeveloped, though there are plans for both public- and private-owned airlines to be launched soon, increasing ease of travelto the country. Uganda's rich natural attractions, including safari parks and Lake Victoria, provide a strong basis for future growth intourism, and the government's focus on the industry will remain a key positive driver of growth.
