Thegovernment is keen to develop the tourism industry, which is a valuable source of foreign exchange and could draw major foreigninvestor interest to the hotel market and other associated sectors. While the growth potential is there owing to Uganda's strongrange of untapped tourism resources, transport infrastructure will need further modernisation and expansion to improveaccessibility, and regional security remains cause for concern.
