Our outlook for the Turkish Consumer remains negative over the short to medium term. The Turkish economy is set toenter a recession over 2019, with weakness in the lira driving up the price of consumables, while high interest rates raise theborrowing costs of households, decimating already weak purchasing powers. Both retail sales and consumer confidence has beenon a downward slide and all evidence suggests this will continue into 2019.
