BMI View:

We hold an optimistic outlook for Thailand's food and drink sector throughout our forecast period to 2022. Significantgrowth will occur within the country’s rapidly formalising mass grocery retail sector, supported by a growing middle class.Opportunities within the drinks sector will be relatively limited, restricted by government legislation that is likely to hamper the saleof both alcoholic drinks and high sugar/sweetener content soft drinks. Nevertheless, spending growth on hot drinks and bottledwater, in particular, will remain high.
