BMI View: The Swedish telecoms market continues to perform in line with our forecasts. We remain of theopinion that the saturation in the market means that operators are looking to migrate customers to morepremium services such as LTE, fibre and connected objects. This need for diversification from legacyproducts has driven M&A activity, with Com Hem acquiring Boxer to increase its penetration of detachedhousing and Tele2 buying TDC Sweden to improve its business offering in H216. However, bundlingremains a minor part of the market as consumers prefer the flexibility of stand-alone services.
The Swedish mobile market reached 14.6mn subscribers in Q117.
Fixed voice reached 3.1mn subscribers in 2016, having been close to 5mn connections in 2010.
