South Korea Food & Drink Q2 2019
While the food and drink market in South Korea is mature and saturated, we note opportunities are still present due tothe premiumisation and healthification trends. With growing health-consciousness among South Korean consumers, fruits andvegetables sales is projected to experience robust growth over the medium-term to 2023. In the drinks sector, hot drinks andmineral and spring water is projected to see the strongest growth. Premiumisation will be apparent in the alcoholic drink category, particularly for spirits and beer although wine sales will see the strongest growth as awareness about wine and food pairing grows.
