Russia will remain reliant on gas-fired power for half of its electricity output over the next decade, supported by itssignificant domestic reserves. Macroeconomic headwinds and a slowdown in electricity consumption will mean investment will befocused on maintaining and upgrading existing capacity instead of new builds. Despite being a small part of the overall mix, non-hydropower renewables will be the growth outperformer of the sector, boosted by domestic wind turbine manufacturing capacity.
