Romania Power Report Q2 2018
This quarter we have extended our forecasts to 2027. However, we maintain our view that electricity generation inRomania will remain relatively flat, registering annual average growth of 0.2% between 2018 and 2027. While gas will gain share asRomania boosts domestic gas production from the Black Sea and coal capacity is taken offline to comply with EU regulations, coalwill remain a predominant component of the power mix during our forecast period. We continue to refrain from including theplanned new reactors at Cernavoda in our forecasts for the Romanian power sector as uncertainties over the timeframe remain.
