Qatar Oil & Gas Q1 2020

Key View:

Qatar remains the world's largest LNG producer. We forecast a marked increase in LNG exports in the mid-2020s, ascapacity ramps up from the North Field expansion and Barzan Gas projects. This will also support increases in domestic natural gasconsumption, absorbing new volumes. Neither Qatar's decision to leave OPEC from January 2019 nor strained diplomatic andeconomic relations with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain seem to have disrupted the country's profitable energy sector.
