The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has committed USD100mn in soft loans and grants to thePhilippines to finance the feasibility studies of the government's infrastructure projects, reports InfraPPP.The feasibility studies will cover rail, bridges, irrigation, roads and other projects. The projects will bedelivered on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis.
The Philippine government is seeking to enter into a Free Trade Agreement with the USA after the USleft the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Philippine trade undersecretary met with the US traderepresentative Barbara Weisel, in July 2017. Reports indicate that their discussions made relevantprogress.
