The Peruvian mobile market continues to see strong growth, despite escalating penetration rates, thanks to the strongcompetition between operators. Operators continue to invest heavily into expanding the availability of 4G services, both in terms ofcoverage and price, as well as new investments into fixed services to drive convergence. However, price competition fromnewcomers Bitel and Entel has led to a decrease in ARPU levels, hindering the monetising of the advanced LTE-A networks throughcontent and services. As such, operators are also striving to improve their converged offers by investing in fixed broadband,particularly into FTTx, currently dominated by Telefonica, also the leader in fixed voice and pay-TV.
