Losses in mobile subscriptions continued during Q218, although at a slower pace than the previous two quarters. Weattribute this to a shedding of inactive prepaid subscriptions, as the expat population in Oman declines and operators focus onmigrating subscribers to post-paid and value-added services. With no updates on the establishment of a third MNO, we still believe athird MNO would have limited success in attracting organic growth and could possibly lead to a price war, as MVNOs have alreadybeen successful in cannibalising the low-cost subscribers away from Omantel and Ooredoo. In the wireline sector, investment intoFTTH from the private and public operators has led to positive growth both in broadband and voice services, but we maintain thatmobile broadband will remain the preferred technology.
