Nigeria Infrastructure Q4 2020

Nigeria Infrastructure Q4 2020

Key View:

We expect Nigeria’s construction industry to contract by 6.3% in 2020. As a sharp fall in oil revenue is likely to constraingovernment spending in 2020, we expect the infrastructure construction sector, which accounts for about three-quarters of thecountry’s construction industry value, to contract by 2.6% in 2020. Dampened private-sector investment in Nigeria’s contractingeconomy will weigh heavily on residential and non-residential building growth, which we have revised down to -16.9% in 2020.
