Increasingly stringent production cuts at the Groningen fields, combined with maturing production from other fields, willsee the Dutch gas production continue on its strong decline, falling from an estimated 33.6bcm in 2019 to about 11.1bcm by2024 and 9.5bcm by 2029. The Netherlands became a net gas importer in 2019 and will see net gas import requirements increasestrongly over the coming years. The outlook for crude production is also bearish as mature fields decline and with a lack of newproject FIDs to replace the volumes that are lost.
