The Myanmar tourism industry is at an embryonic stage of development, and we hold a bright growth outlook out to2022. The country saw robust arrivals in FY2017, and we expect a multitude of drivers to propel positive momentum, includingreduced visa restrictions, rising demand for air travel in the crucial APAC source markets and growing spending power across theregion. Tourism industry growth will be further buoyed by the ever-expanding network of low-cost air travel and the healthy levels ofinvestment in the national transportation and accommodations sector. We note that Myanmar currently trails far behind regionalchampions such as Thailand and Vietnam in terms of its tourism standings, but the market has strong untapped organic growthpotential that is being unlocked.
