BMI View: The outlook for Mozambican ports remains strong and we maintain our forecast that the threefacilities of Maputo, Nacala and Beira will all enjoy strong growth both in the near term and over ourmedium-term forecast period to 2019. Growth in box handling will be driven by transit trade fromlandlocked hinterland countries and by an expanding domestic consumer market - although this is comingfrom a very low base. The more rapid growth will be in gross tonnage volumes, in large part a result ofgrowth in coal exports, which will continue to expand despite the fall in global prices.
