BMI View: As economic growth is forecast to slow down in Morocco in 2016, our short-term expectationsfor Morocco's food and drink industry remain subdued. We forecast per capita food consumption to expandonly by 1.5% in 2015 and perform only a little better in 2016 (expanding by 1.7%). We also expect amoderate acceleration in household consumption on the back of lower international food and oil prices, aswell as a recent hike to the minimum wages of both the public and private sectors. Our longer-term view forMorocco's food and drink industry remains positive, as it will benefit from ongoing structural reforms, apromising demographic profile and sizable investment in tourism.
