:Malaysia’s consumer spending outlook remains positive with private consumption a key driver for economic growth, andreal GDP forecast to grow by 4.5% in 2020. We expect to see a continuation of this positive outlook into 2020, supported byfavourable fiscal and monetary policies, which have already included the removal of the Goods & Service Tax (GST) in 2018 and alowering of interest rates in 2019. The Budget 2020 announced in October 2019 further strengthens this view.
