BMI View: Consumer spending will be the key driver of economic growth in Kenya and we predict thatspending by Kenyan households will rise in real terms by 5.0% in 2015 and 6.0% in 2016. This rise is theresult of a growing population, rising incomes due to urbanisation and growing financial inclusion spurredby the boom in mobile financial services. The outlook for Kenya's food and drink industry continues to bepositive, with strong growth expected over the short-to-medium term.
