The Italian agricultural industry continues to retain a generally healthy outlook over the next five years to 2021/22. Weare of the opinion that cheese, poultry and pork will all record stable growth out to 2021/22, driven by rising exportopportunities. The removal of EU milk quotas in 2015 and the opportunity for Italy to develop its value-added exports will bepositive. We note that ongoing trade sanctions on Russia continue to constrain export-oriented growth, but the EU will look todevelop new markets in Japan, China and Canada.
