Hungary Telecommunications Report Q1 2016

BMI View: Two new mobile network operators plan to launch in the near future, but with Vodafone mullinga withdrawal and multiplay operator UPC recording only tepid interest in its MVNO services, prospectsare not good for new infrastructure-led players. Mobile data usage is trending upwards but has yet togenerate the kind of revenues needed to offset declining voice and messaging revenues. However, tripleplayuptake at Telekom, Invitel and UPC highlight the potential posed by convergence.
