Hungary Power Q4 2018
The expansion of Hungary's power industry will remain sluggish across the coming decade as foreign investors aredeterred by excessive state influence in the power sector and poor power consumption prospects. The only major project in thepipeline is the proposed 1,200MW expansion of the existing nuclear facility in Paks, although the project is unlikely to be completedby 2027. In the meantime, further modernisation and expansion of the country's transmission and distribution infrastructure willoffer some opportunities for investors.
