Hungary Power Q2 2018
The outlook for Hungary's power sector remains subdued, with very limited growth expected in terms of capacity andgeneration over the forecast period. The country's existing power infrastructure is well-developed, and with consumption expectedto record only minimal growth over the coming years, there are few incentives in place for large-scale private investment in newcapacity. As such, the main focus of investment in the power sector remains the publicly backed expansion of the Paks nuclearpower plant. There is also some scope for the development of the non-hydropower renewable energy sector due to renewableenergy targets.
