The Hungarian consumer electronics market recorded stronger US dollar growth in 2017, but medium-termopportunities from higher household purchasing power are limited by saturation and a demographic drag. Meanwhile, the domesticindustry continues to be a significant contributor to manufacturing output, employment and exports. The domestic risk profiledeteriorated in the Q3 update following the election victory of Fidesz in April 2018 that could embolden its refugee and mediapolicy agenda, which would bring it into further conflict with the European Union.
