Hong Kong Water Report 2016
BMI View: Hong Kong is a reasonably attractive market, with customers concentrated in a denselypopulated area that is well served by existing water infrastructure. Mains domestic consumers represent thelarger user base. While we expect this trend to continue, water conservation campaigns are being launchedby the government to bring consumption down. We believe this will have an effect on water consumptionhabits of domestic consumers in particular, and relieve some of the city-state's burden. However, we expectthat as the country's water-consuming industries maintain their momentous growth, demand for water willcontinue to increase.
Latest Updates And Key Forecasts

The project will be developed as a substitute for the city's main water source, Guangdong's EastRiver or Dongjiang. Over the longer term, this will boost desalinated water production in the country, andresult in a shift in our desalination and river water production forecasts.
