Hong Kong Tourism Report Q4 2017

Hong Kong Tourism Report Q4 2017

BMI View: Hong Kong's tourism industry is one of the most developed in the increasingly competitive Asia Pacific region. The market is heavily reliant upon the huge volumes of visitors from mainland China, though Hong Kong is also popular among travellers from further afield, both as a stand-alone destination and as a transit hub thanks to the wide range of connections through Hong Kong International Airport. Diversifying the inbound source market, through the development of a wider range of tourism attractions and expansion of travel connections, is an ongoing priority of the government in order to secure sustainable growth.
