Surging mobile subscriptions are stemming largely from the prepaid segment, although we highlight that the higher-value postpaid segment is also growing, albeit at a slower rate. Operators are focused on multi-service bundling strategies to deepentheir revenues, and are investing into other telecoms horizontals, including mobile financial services and the Internet of Things tofurther diversify their business away from the competitive mobile services arena. 5G will soon be the focus for operators, withnetworks set to be commercialised in 2020; Hong Kong's advanced and technologically-savvy populace will be keen to be earlyadopters of these services.
